Simply, it couldn't be otherwise, Maigret presides over the murder of Maurice Marcia, Paris restaurateur who formerly operated with the Mori brothers in the south of France, robbing villas and chateaux. Then there's his too much younger wife who seems to have been too much involved with one of his confederates. Peu de chose indeed, a microdab and before much longer Maigret will have more than justified his name.
