An all-dinosaur cast, dressed in scattered items of clothing and suspended in pastel colored space, gathers ‘round to tut-tut as Littlesaurus repeatedly “does a poo” where he pleases, then walks away, bellowing out the title announcement. Extra delighted to learn from Grannysaurus that Daddysaurus used to do the same, Littlesaurus does finally decide to use the stone potty (which looks like an ashtray, only turquoise) when he sees that Daddysaurus is really upset—whereupon everyone shouts out the chorus together. Aside from the peculiar color scheme, this teeters atop the pile of training tales by offering members of its young audience (those few who haven’t already discovered it) a way to embarrass grownups, while presenting parents with a viable strategy for getting their offspring onto the potty at need. Certainly not for all tastes, especially since the rationale is somewhat distorted. (Picture book. 2-4)
