Another charmer from the team that created I Can Do It Too! (2003). That title character has grown up a bit and become a big sister, and she maintains her lovely, unspoiled attitude of support and encouragement for someone who’s smaller than she. Maybe her dear little toddler brother (whose favorite way to look at the world is bent over with his head between his knees) can’t really “do it too,” but with his sister’s affirmation there is implicit confidence that (with her guidance, of course) he certainly will. With obvious affection and a big-sis sense of pride in demonstrating skills including straightening up, sharing, sliding and tooth-brushing, she boosts her brother’s confidence and allows that perhaps there’s a thing or two that she can learn from him. Sturdy, with the kid-friendly font and big, bright, fingerpaint-y pictures readers recognize as Wilson-Max, this one is positively sure to please. (Picture book. 2-5)
