THIS IS WASHINGTON, D.C.

Sasek roaming the streets was a wayward charmer; Sasek as the standard guide to the city is considerably stiffer. here, crisply drawn, are the sites of Washington for the average tourist and a few special sights for children (especially in and around the Smithsonian). The descriptive captions are adequate except in a few instances when the choice of words is misleading (e.g. it is implied that the Library of Congress is solely for Congress, that the Washington Monument is made of bricks rather than blocks of stone). Clear-cut preview and review.
