Lisa Jewell’s None of This Is True is headed to the big screen, Deadline reports.

Jewell’s novel, published last year by Atria, follows Alix Summer, a journalist and podcaster, who meets Josie Fair, a woman born on the same day and in the same hospital as her. Alix develops a podcast about Josie but soon discovers that her “birthday twin” has some dark secrets. A critic for Kirkus wrote of the book, “It’s hard to read but hard to look away from.”

Netflix is developing the film adaptation. Writing the script is Eleanor Burgess, who has penned episodes of Interview With the Vampire and Perry Mason. Actor Molly Sims (The Benchwarmers, Yes Man) will produce, with Jewell serving as an executive producer.

Jewell shared news of the adaptation on Instagram, writing, “Well I’ve been sitting on this one for a super long time!! Agreed the deal in December and have had to keep my big mouth shut ever since, which is a huge challenge for me as secrets are not my forte! Please don’t ask me when we can expect to see this on the screen as I have absolutely no idea, all I know is that the energy behind this fledgling project even at this early stage is incredible.”
