Books by Nancy Blumenthal

The dinosaurs featured here are real enough, but their treatment is pure fun: "One Stegosaurus standing in the sun"—on the beach, wearing sunglasses; "Two Compsognathus always on the run"—in running shoes, carrying a huge ice-cream cone; up to "Ten Hadrosaurids sporting funny hats"—their variously shaped crests. The large beasts are colored bright, unlikely colors and sport across the pages in a manner sure to bring joy to dinosaur lovers. Pronunciations are included; an "append-a-saurus" tells a little more about each creature but omits full explanation of the brontosaurus confusion, although the now-official name, Apatosaurus, is included.
