Books by Omer Zamir

Omer Zamir was born in Israel on January 31, 1991. At age nineteen he moved in with his grandparents for a year and a half at their beach house in northern Israel, and that's where he became a poet. His grandfather, a scholar and a profound figure in Omer's life, introduced him to books, a world as of yet untouched. The books, the sea, his grandparents and a mysterious ripeness took place there and then. This young man has been writing, writing, writing ever since, with such a passion and admiration of this powerful thing called poetry. On July 4, 2014 Omer flew to Maine, coming with a small backpack full of books, with a plan to stay in Maine for ten days, but Maine's beauty so enchanted him that he has been living in Hallowell, Maine ever since; writing and studying literature, and giving readings.
