KIRKUS REVIEW

says. ""Skipper se"" certainly interrupts the continuity of story, and probably provides the children with a good many sore throats... When Homer Honked- demands closer listening for there are several creatures to imitate,- a gander, a rooster, a cow, a cat. Furthermore, the story wins the audience. Children will sympathize with the sad little gander that cannot control the volume of his book. They will rejoice when his talents serve another purpose for Jeremy has run away from the farm and it is Homer's honk that saves his life when he is threatened by a eareening truck without a horn... let's hope that the two additional promised titles resemble No. 2 rather than No. 1. No gimmick can make or break a story.
