KIRKUS REVIEW

The cream of popular reading from the magazine, this book should offer diversion for convalescents and leisure time readers. Some twenty stories are chosen out of the two hundred which appeared in last year's issues. Stories of fathers and sons, husbands and wives, some sports, comedy, fantasy -- and one ghost. Some good names here -- William Saroyan, Gerald Kersh, John Vandercook, Paul Horgan, Frank O'Rourke, Agnes Slight Turnbull. Post material is always clean, family reading.
