KIRKUS REVIEW

You can feel sorry for Judith who is duped into marriage to Horace Fescue, rich and , when it is Charles she loves, and later finds that the attempts against Horace's life while they succeed only in incriminating Charles. Two murders and the exposure of Horace's shabby moral relationships and monetary deals free Judith from this unhappy match after a slow but sure investigation by McKee. Custom designed, this has the expected, expensive touch.
