Brodie, a prominent citizen of Amityburg and a nominee for Governor, was not initially suspected in the decease of his wife when she was bolled alive in her bathtub, claimed they were attacked by an unknown , and only after mob violence and an indifferent investigation, was arrested. In the trial here which lends momentum to the rather poky prologue of slow moving, small town testimony, and after a later review and re-interpretation of the case, the irony of the actual misrepresentation and miscarriage of justice is revealed.... A substantial presentation which depends more on its gaslit morals and mores and local detail than the crime itself for its interest.
