KIRKUS REVIEW

That ble part who wrote and illustrated The Garden Clinic have repeated that success in The Food Garden, vegetables, greens nalads, herbs, fruits and I like the opportunity it gives to chart and draw pictures as one takes notes, and it will appeal strongly to anyone dependent on visual aids. Edna Blair has down an excellent job of the writing, and from the choice and preparation of the garden plot, through the culture of each crop, she is clear, thorough and explicit. In case this is not enough, each step by Lawrence Blair to show you just how The drawings are full of ideas that are both novel and practical you've always heard about and half understood. The diagrams on planning your had, ventilation celery blanching and preparing good are particularly good -- if seeing is believing.
