THE POETRY OF FREEDOM

Anthology of poems dedicated to the expression of freedom from every angle and indicative of the power of this as a motivating force in the field of the arts and letters. From the early Greek classicists to the present World War, poets have spoken. The selection is, inevitably, an intensely personal one, and I found it Particularly stimulating because there was so much unhackneyed verse -- British, American, Scandinavian, Balkan, Russian, Central European, yes, even Japanese -- and of course Indian and Chinese. A good collection -- and useful as a source for quotable material covering a wide range of thought and expression.
