KIRKUS REVIEW

Plenty of action in brushoffs and run arounds as Donald Lam and Bertha Cool again tangle with murder and legal deviations. The race takes them from New Orleans to California after a missing girl, a case of bigamy and a game of hide and seek with the police, and Donald gives Bertha last tag by joining the Navy, as he polishes off the solution to the killings and their ramifications.
