GOLD COMES IN BRICKS

Devastatingly devious Donald Lam, Bertha Cool's one man private detective force, out to protect the daughter of a millionaire, who is being blackmailed. The Ashbury's home needs cleaning up, with a second wife and her son playing the millionaire for a large scale sucker. Blackmail, murder, gold mining and crooked speculation plus some fine legalistic manoeuvres in a fast and fiery tough tale. Not quite up to the last two, perhaps, but very very slick.
