KEPT WOMEN CAN'T QUIT

Donald Lam city-hops in this as both Los Angeles and San Francisco are jump off points for an armored truck robbery, disappearances and murder. He involves his secretary, a telephone operator and his own client in creating runarounds for the police in each area; he replaces a trunk with one of his own; he impersonates a bell hop -- and he skips and jumps to a precarious safety. Laconic and twisty.
