INVITATION TO WORSHIP

A virile sort of meditation book, with no sentiment, no softness. It makes you think, first by a short, carefully chosen Bible selection -- then by a minute or two minute sermon he enlarges the theme just enough to give momentum to the idea. A wide range of subjects are touched on, faith, failure, birthdays, money, evil, responsibility, peace, worship, etc. Many of these were delivered at Harvard where Dean Sperry says they brought more people out to early morning worship than had ever come before.
