KIRKUS REVIEW

The strange world of 4000 years from now when the Empress Innelda rules almost absolute, but the opposition has consolidated and become more effective. Young Cayle, imperial favorite, learns that the gunshops are all that hold the balance, and when they are threatened- he is able to save them through his extraordinary E.S.P. The story is on a straightaway but scientific speculation adds some multi-dimensional detours. Good.
