AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF A CAD

Satiric English humor in this portrait of a hypocrite par excellence, which carries Edward Percival Fox-Ingleby from his childhood of budding snobbery, to his Eton and Oxford years with their cruel actions, his pre-war career with women, his battle to save his skin during the War, his marriage and the ducks and drakes he played with it, his political achievements. All is told with splendid self righteousness and heavy emphasis on the integrity of his aims. A self made monster, the irony of his blindness to his revolting life is pointed, and, though this harps on a single string, it has moments.
