KIRKUS REVIEW

This is a piece of work that has long needed doing and Mr. Baldwin has done it well. In spite of the text book format the story of our religion from the earliest days is simply and directly told. Cause and effect of the great political, national and social upheavalsa clearly described and through it all we watch with wonder and fascination the development of the Christian religion. Put in more attractive form with a bright jacket this book could go places where no dry history of religion would be tolerated for the text, style, the quotations from the Bible and from such modern apostles as Stud Kennedy and the big print make it a joyous discovery. We couldn't put it down. But you'll have to suggest and sell it. Convince customers of its charm, in spite of its brown paper jacket.
