FROM PEARL HARBOR TO OKINAWA

Not only is the Pacific theater of World War II significant as a chapter of contemporary history, it is particularly meaningful in that it initiated atomic warfare which might well totally change the course of human history. Beginning with the attack on Pearl Harbor and ending with the Japanese capitulation of 1941, this describes the main encounters of that period and the events behind them. An area in which there is a dearth of texts, it is compactly handled in this book illustrated with photos and maps. Recommended as supplementary reading for courses of modern history.
