IN GOOD OLD COLONY TIMES

I wish we had more to go on than galleys this time, for this is sub-titled ""an historical picture book"" -- and we have no data as to type of pictures, nor format. From the text, one could feel it is a reference book, to be used for early American history (dealing with Massachusetts Bay colony only), covering with intimate detail ways of life and setting, -- social life, institutions, government, business, and travel. Anecdotal, briefly, but chiefly photographic in detail. Each section of expanded captions, presumably accompanying pictures, preceded by introductory descriptions.
