KIRKUS REVIEW

Elizabethan historian Rowse takes a leisurely turn through the history of the town and university of Oxford, and as an Oxford Fellow, feels (perhaps rightly) that a few quips now and then concerning present inadequacies are in order. All of which makes for an entertaining, serendipitous tour.
