BOOK FOR PARENTS by A. Makarenko

BOOK FOR PARENTS

By

Publisher: Moskow -- 1937

An obviously partisan picture of the educational system in the U.S.S.R. today, showing how the old principles and patterns had been completely wiped out and an entirely new theory of education evolved and put into practice. The new system, still in process of reconstruction, is -- albeit liberal -- vague and theoretical, in many respects primitive and chaotic. In contrast to the individualistic methods of education practised in America, this book should prove of interest, to parent as well as pedagogue.
