TOTO AND I: A Gorilla in the Family

Story of Toto, now with Barnum and Bailey as companion for Gargantua, told by the woman who raised her, from the time her family was killed in Africa, to her early months with the circus. In spite of obstacles, Mrs. Hoyt kept the baby gorilla alive, until Toto dominated the household, ultimately becoming a problem. Interesting from animal story angle, with added interest for adults in the psychological study of this most intelligent of the primates. For fuller report see elsewhere in this issue.
