WHICH WAY FOR OUR CHILDREN

A year ago I heard about this book and was keen to see it. As a rule such praise followed by a long wait results in disappointment; this was a happy exception. As far as I knew it is unique in its field and were that its only contribution it would be worthwhile. However, Miss Munkres has done an excellent job. The handling of her material is done so skilfully you little realize how much she is giving you. Only as you get away and work with children do you fully appreciate the wide range of subjects and the innumerable individual problems she covers and solves. Its greatest recommendation is that it opens various avenues to the reader and points the route, then leaves him armed with self confidence and information enough to enable him to reach his goal, utterly unconscious that he was guided and feeling very proud of his expert handling of the situation. The Parent- Teachers Association and Child Study groups, the Junior leaguers who have young children, in fact there is no limit to the market, anyone who has, or knows anyone who has, a child should leap at it.
