GOVERNMENT IN A PLANNED DEMOCRACY by A. N. Holcombe

GOVERNMENT IN A PLANNED DEMOCRACY

By

Pub Date: Feb. 15th, 1935
Publisher: Norton

An outgrowth of the Harvard Business School in relation to government, and good for a comparable sale with Holcombe's earlier book. But not a book for light reading. An analysis of the New Deal, with a definite bias in favor of giving the breaks to Capital and Labor rather than the Middle Classes. A plea for the experimental attitude and for elasticity in organization, in order to make possible a welding of political planning and efficient administration of public business; a plea for the way out as an escape from Communism and Fascism. A book for light buying and a rather specialized market of those definitely interested in theories of government.
