SORELLE MATERASSI (The Sisters Materassi)

This well known writer of novels and poems gives us in this book the pathetic story of two old maids in the suburbs of Florence, their adoption of their nephew and his cold-blooded use of them and the eventual ruins he brings upon them. Very interesting psychology, good descriptions. An altogether worthwhile book.
