THINKING FOR EVERY MAN

More to it then to many of these self-help books, this is some thinking about thinking, written by a progressive educator and popularizer, to stimulate the layman into greater activity. The importance of thinking, its physiology, how one can improve it; various methods of thought, images, reading, writing, ideas, problems. Various types of thought, mediation, logic, creative thinking. Then at the close, excursions into higher thought with the samples of Oriental parallels, with symbols. A liberal use of analogy and anecdote do not quite counteract a certain pulpit manner which is not quite right for the how-to-do market.
