RIVER DUEL

A rather humorous interlude in Iowa solves a fisherman's mystery in an intriguing kind of way. Young Brig Wheeler and a friend, out fishing on the Wanata River one day, catch a glimpse of a man fully dressed escaping from the water and then comes across a packet of money the man had obviously dropped. As one thing leads to another, an escaped convict named Gopher Gus is turned up as a bank robber. But the biggest catfish in the river has to be caught before Gus' unique hiding place is revealed. Catchy.
