AND PROMENADE HOME

This second volume of dancer and choreographer de Mille's autobiography like her first book, which it somewhat overlaps, is witty and revealing in its behind the scenes picture of show business. However, the emphasis here is markedly on the author's life, romance, and marriage. Because of this emphasis And Promenade Home seems more of a woman's book than Dance To the Pipes although it has many of the qualities that made the latter a bestseller.
