CREEPING PERIL MYSTERY

Slightly futuristic excitement on the Gulf of California develops when a gang of saboteurs try to blow up a ridge along the delta of the Colorado River and flood the low-level hinterland area. The border patrols of Mexico and the United States cooperate to bring in the culprits, Americans working presumably for Russia. It is rather disappointingly dry and involved tale that is marked by inconsequential third helicopter flights to check on lost jeeps and so forth. Negligible story and science fiction content plus the uninspired writing make this give way to better books.
