by Albert Tibbets ‧ RELEASE DATE: March 11, 1964
Mr. Tibbets has carefully selected eight stories which belong together because of a similarity in theme; in each, an author presents and examines a taut relationship between a father and son, and shows how the two strengthen their opinions of each other. Less familiar authors are in the company of such respected ones as Jack cha fer, Frank O'Rourke, and Nathaniel Benchley. In ""Scare Game"" by Gertrude Schweitzer, the message is on the obvious side, and the dialogue is rigid. However, generally, the stories are sensitively written and constructed with reality as a base. Northwhile varied reading-- designed for boys, but recommended as substantial for both sexes.
