Botanists- whether orchidists or not- will find the sections dealing with where and how they grow, the plant structure, the flower, the details of culture and propagation of basic interest. Lists- specifically for the beginners- indicate by codes those easily grown, their temperature preferences, etc. The appendix contains a phylogenetical listing of 668 and a glossary of terms.
