A very simple little story of a birthday gift for four year old a new red wheelbarrow, which causes quite a stir in the household. Colorful, quaist illustrations by show a large, lively Victorian family gay in piaks and lavenders, heep skirts and bows. The general impression the book leaves is of a rather trivial story presented in attractive but mannered style.
