A collaboration between Father Beck and his cartoonist friend, Gibson, produced three previous, privately printed, books of churchly mishaps. This collects from those three for a wider distribution. In it are dreamed-of ministerial lapses, situations easily possible but also ridiculous, those that are impossible but with their own elements of humor, ranging from choir boys to deadly dowagers, ushers to exaggerated gentlemen in robes, parochial competitiveness, collections and critical parishioners... This has its fun in amateur and unsophisticated fashion, and might appeal to a non-metropolitan market.
