CHILDREN OF THE ALBATROSS

A sequel to Ladders To Fire which continues the vagaries of the same four characters; Djuna, a young dancer, who loves only the immature men; Sabina, a woman of fire who loves most men; and Lillian, who just loves Jay, who only paints and seems to love no one. This time the facts are a little more visible, less of the subconscious and more of the conscious reactions are recorded, although the same dream- like and erotic handling of words and phrases is prevalent. This is rather a collection of sequences in the lives of a handful of people in prewar Paris than a novel, without plot and without resolution of the problems presented. Limited.
