YOUNG HOCKEY CHAMPIONS

Knock out a few awkward phrases and this becomes a readable line-up of all-stars who were NHL pros before the age of twenty. ""Mean"" Stan Mikita, Bobby Hull and Gordie Howe share prime honors although Henri Richard's debut at four is more impressive until you reach the February 29th birth date. Also Bobby Orr, Beliveau, Mahovlich, Geoffrion, Boivin, Clancy and Sawchuk in all their fast-paced, record-setting glory. Hockey schools, here and in Canada, are growing more accessible and popular, a factor that may have long-range effects on the game; this is for those already hooked and looking for background.
