THE TIMID GHOST: or What Would You Do With a Sackful of Gold?

What Teodoro, a Mexican prospector for gold, wanted to do was to build a modest little house, but he became Teodoro the ghost when he was buried under an avalanche of gold nuggets he couldn't leave alone. He still had his daydream as well as his sack of gold--but when he appeared to other prospectors to ask them what they would do with the sack, their answers were too frivolous. Finally one named Gumersindo had the right idea, he got his reward, and he settled down to live happily ever after in his cottage, until his wife started to nag for more... ""So now there are two ghosts."" Listeners, who may well want to supply more original answers to the query, will enjoy the conversationally intimate tone of this Mexican folk-styled story, nicely decorated with hispanico-cartoon outline drawings in gold, brown and blue.
