HOW TO BE A HAPPY WOMAN

A pause for reappraisal, and for rebuttal of the recently advanced notion that woman's life is ""more of an ordeal than ever"", which counts the blessings of this at cked -to-abused sex and offers more than a little comfort and compensation. Putting the past- and the nagging nostalgia for a time when everything seemed better- in its place, this is a onceover of her relationships and responses, to marriage or singleness, to her children- and the maternal censure which is more frequent than deserved, to a job- or even a career- as against the subjection to and stigma of housework. And against the hyperactivity and often hypertension of a woman's life today, against the common fears and nerves and depressions, there is a reaffirmation of faith and the reassurance that women can- and do- lead better, busier and more satisfying lives. An mollient, which makes an easy contact at a common level, this has popular possibilities.
