PEOPLE ARE FUNNY

The idea man and master of ceremonies of the radio stunt show- People Are Funny, showing just how that program came to be, pretty successfully at that. Operating on the principle of practically anything for a laugh, cultivating the elaborate gag, perfecting the practical joke, here are the show's brighter (more intelligent?) moments. Here too is Linkletter's own rise from sportscasting, comedy shows, to Hollywood's heavenly gates where his particular penchant for antic behaviour paid off... Humor and human interest on a fairly elemental level- this is not assured amusement.
