A flying saucer and its likeable inhabitants create adventure for young Charlie Holt, living alone in the Colorado desert. Out fishing, Charlie spots the huge ship settled among some mountains and later becomes a strangely willing captive of the men who come after Charlie and communicate with him by mental telepathy. Whisked away in their ship, he finds he is on his way to Saturn, but not until he has made friends with Dondee, the Primate's son, who tells him his people consider Earthmen primitive. Treated as such, Charlie is regarded inferior until he learns the interplanetary tongue and acts to gain the Saturnian's approval. And before he returns, Charlie is told the secret- that the Saturnians have come to Earth to study the favorable conditions that they hope will help them dispel Saturn's mists. Fair.
