This is an autobiography portraying the life and struggle of an uncurbed Russian youth in the U.S.S.R. Through the author's personal adventures is given a picture of the country and its people, students, scouts, pioneers, vagrants, workmen, etc. The author only recently escaped from the U.S.S.R. and has now made for himself a literary name in Bulgaria. This book first appeared as separate sketches in the Sophia newspapers.
