Smooth story telling in a romance that blends love interest with first rate vocational guidance and training in salesmanship. The central character is a young widow, battling with all sorts of complexes that make her a third-rate salesman -- and winning the fight. In the process, the reader learns not only about the basic principles of all salesmanship, but specifically door-to-door selling, and indirectly retail selling. The last half of the book speeds up the pace a bit faster then one bargains for, it almost becomes melodramatic and the element of coincidence is a bit strained. But it has the element needed for a good rental library item -- a success formula with a new twist.
