BENNINGTON COLLEGE

In this story of the development of an educational idea, Miss Jones has charted the course of development of the curriculum, the relation to the community, the experiment in non-residential and winter field work which are the distinguishing marks in the Bennington record. There is a pervading enthusiasm for the guiding ideals behind the plan; there is a fair degree of critical judgment -- a willingness to acknowledge where the plan proved , where adjustments were necessary- but in the main a consistently enthusiastic analysis of the Bonnington plan. Should be useful as a reference book in the education departments, and as an information service in school libraries, where data on various colleges, catalogues, etc., are in constant demand.
