THE ODOR OF VIOLETS

Captain MacLain, the blind detective, and his two dogs, play their parts once again in a story which combines mystery, sabotage and espionage. The disappearance of a girl in Hartford, serves as a blind for stealing of plans on New York's defense, and the resultant adventures provide all the old thrill climaxes, with some modern twists. More melodrama than straight detective tale.
