THE LITTLE FISH THAT GOT AWAY

A solemn little fish story, this will have its attraction in the repetitions of the text as it moves, rhythmically fish-like, from page to page. It is about one little boy who never had any luck fishing until the day the little fish got away- after that the little boy caught three big ones. A nice turn about, with plump and placid drawings by Crockett Johnson of the boy happily surprised.
