OOSEBERRY LANE

Samuel and Samantha are two plush ducklings who are rained out of their cardboard box home. They move to a wooden box inhabited by a woolen owl and a gweek. In turning this into a sort of apartment house for the four of them, they are assisted by real animals. Some of the rehabilitation of the box is described but not illustrated. The ducklings go from one home to another; however, the story really goes nowhere. The illustrations are quietly colorful and neat; old fashioned in conception and static.
