SHATTUCK CADET

This book is a story of a boys' military school, full of the usual fun and pranks, with the plot centering around two boys, one all for discipline, the other lacking in respect for rules and regulations. There is not enough action to satisfy the average 12 to 15er, but there is a lot of wholesome fun in the tale, some of the characters are soundly drawn and likeable, and there is clever dialogue, which somehow seems more keyed to girls' interest than to boys'. A rather technical description of football games is its best bid for boy interest.
