Re the top job of airline pilot, ""In the years ahead, the airlines will be accepting thousands of men and women as trainees for their flight crews."" (But even if they have discontinued, in the past year or so, the practice our kids reported of handing all the boys in a class airport visit pilot wings and all the girls hostess wings, we wonder how many women can afford to qualify as pilots when most still get their flight hours in the armed forces.) Oh well, flight attendants (""women or men"") are also ""very special people"" whose earnings equal those of a ""good secretary"" (a good secretary with problems, if she's settled for the reported $5400-$8400 salary.) And even the ramp worker, who need only be 18 years old and in good health and whose pay goes up to $3.00 an hour, is advised that his is a good place to start as ""advancement from there depends on you!"" Up, up, up. . . yours.
